Anna’s Car Rental (ACR) has once again demonstrated its commitment to helping those in need with a generous donation to Cyclone Freddy survivors at Mulemba Primary School camp in Thyolo. The donation, made through the company’s “ACRCARES” initiative, will benefit 224 victims of the disaster.
The Member of Parliament for Thyolo Thava, Mary Navicha, was present at the donation event and expressed her appreciation for ACR’s gesture. “The situation has been bad here, but we appreciate the support by the corporate world. This gives hope to the people in my constituency. They lost the hope,” she said.
One of the beneficiaries, Isha Yusuf, expressed her gratitude to ACR for easing the burden of sourcing basic needs for survival. “The food items will help us here at the camp, while non-food items will be used as replacements for those that we lost due to the Cyclone. Our houses collapsed and everything in it is gone, including clothes and food. So, we thank this company,” she said.
For this initiative, it is important to acknowledge the generous contribution of $1,500.00 made by a Swedish couple. This couple, loyal clients of Anna’s Car Rental, demonstrated heartfelt concern for the challenges faced by Malawi during the cyclone and its aftermath. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, they chose to actively participate in our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity, showcasing a commendable commitment to making a positive impact
